Hand Quilting

Here's a picture of the hand quilting Vicky has been doing on the Auburn quilt.  Isn't it beautiful?  It takes longer, but I think it can really make a difference in the quality and value of the quilt.  Bless her tender fingers!  We've really got to find a better thimble. . .

What's in my Sewing Basket? #1

Vicky - "Here's some fun Auburn fabric. I'm cutting up pieces to make a keepsake quilt. This is going to be a charitable donation for an auction in Auburn, AL that is to take place in April. I'll continue updating as I make progress on this piece. If you have questions about my technique or wish to place an order for a quilt yourself, feel free to contact me at queenbvicky at gmail dot com!"

War Eagle!

We're big fans of the Auburn University Tigers at our house. Vicky made some pillow covers for my girls for Christmas this year.
Vicky - "Machine done with a French seam (which means no raveling on the inside of the case!). Uses 3/4 a yard of fabric for the base; trim and header are an additional 1/4 of a yard. Again, can be made to match whatever decor, color or theme your room would have. Price varies based on fabric used (cotton, flannel, etc.)."

Start Your Day with a Cup O' Joe!

Some coffee themed place mats Vicky made for my daughters' duplex.
Vicky - "These took me probably about 8 hours to make all 4 and do the quilting and binding. Machine pieced and quilted. Very simple pattern. Can be made to match whatever theme your kitchen is! Four for $25; $5 for each additional place mat."
